At #UDHQ we are embracing the strobing trend with open arms, just in time for some dewy summer skin.
Believe it or not, strobing isn’t a new dance move (who else is relieved they aren’t behind?), rather it’s a new, more natural way to accentuate the face without the heavy and time-consuming application of heavy contour. The right highlighting can make you look younger and healthier without caking on extra bronzing and contouring. Now this is definitely a trend we can get onboard with!
The key is to accentuate the high points on your face. These are the places where the light should catch. The end result is to show high cheekbones and strong features, with a soft, dewy finish, giving your skin a radiant glow. Amanda, our artist in residence, used Naked Skin Illuminating Beauty Balm to apply with her fingers to the tops of her cheekbones, above her brow bone and on the apple of her chin.
With our Naked Flushed Double-Ended Brush, she used Half Baked Eyeshadow on the inner corners of her eyes, the bridge of her nose, below her brow on her brow bone, her Cupid’s bow and over the Beauty Balm on her cheekbones.
You can use one product or multiple products for a more dramatic strobe effect. And we like to add a pop of Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush for a touch of color.
With a name like strobing – you know it had to be our Friday Night Fix. TGIF –
